Beautiful weather and it seems to keep up - attended all of the sick and very much progress is being made along the lines of recovery. - Mrs. Chapman is struggling along in a rather half discouraged way but I feel that she is gaining in spite of the handicap. -

SATURDAY 28
Had an awful accident case poor Mr. Applegate in building a fire - [?] his plow accidentally ignited his clothing and burned so severely that his death followed in a little less than 12 hours, a most horrid sight- to see the poor charred body. - all the other patients are getting on splendidly.

SUNDAY 29
Operated upon Mr. Garrett first step in a prostatectomy case stood it fine. Mrs. Chapman is gradually pulling together and doing better every day. - The influenza cases are gradually subsiding and the pandemic is about subsided. Had a little evening party. - The Wood’s & Spau’s [?].
